Democracy promotion in Asia: emerging policy trends
Tuesday, 17 March 2009

The research undertaken in the paper shows that the number of Asian governments involved in democracy promotion is small and their scope limited. The emerging trends point to a need to diversify and increase democracy promotion stakeholders in the region through the creation of an active Asian lobby.
